The Mountain Kingdom: Portraits of Nepal and the Gurkhas is a photographic book by Col. Bruce M. Niven, published by World Wide Publications in 1987. It presents the author's photographs and text on the land and people of Nepal and on the Gurkha soldiers, set against the Himalayas. Niven, a Gurkha officer, led the 1970 joint British and Nepalese Army expedition to Annapurna I and made a trek across Nepal in 1961-62.
