Reels & Relics is a small used-media shop in St. Paul, Minnesota. This policy explains what information we collect at reelsandrelics.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you place an order we collect your name, email, and shipping address — the minimum needed to fulfill and support your order.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
If you create an account, we store your email and your saved lists/likes so they're there when you come back.
If you ask to be notified when an out-of-stock title comes back, we store that email address and use it only for that alert.
Like nearly every website, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and debugging.
A handful of companies help us run the store, and we share information with them only so they can do their job: Stripe processes payments; EasyPost and USPS create shipping labels and deliver your order; Resend sends our order and account emails; Supabase hosts our database and sign-in; Cloudflare serves the website; Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used (see "Analytics" below).
Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its service for you. We never give any of them your information for their own marketing.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their marketing.
We don't run third-party advertising on this site.
We only email you about your orders and account, unless you explicitly opt in to anything else (like a restock alert). Anything optional has an unsubscribe link.
We use Google Analytics to understand how shoppers use the site — which pages are visited and how people move from browsing to checkout — so we can improve the store. It sets cookies that assign your browser a random identifier and sends usage data (pages viewed, items added to cart, purchases, approximate location, device type) to Google. It never sees your name, email, address, or payment details.
You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by using a browser or extension that blocks analytics — the store works fully either way.
We use a small amount of browser storage to keep your cart and your sign-in session working, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies as described above. That's it.
Today we contact customers by email only. If we offer text alerts, they will be strictly opt-in: message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time.
No mobile phone numbers, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or consent records will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Some catalog pages link to other retailers, such as Amazon or eBay, and some of those are affiliate links (see the disclosure in our Terms of Service). Once you leave our site, those retailers set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies. We don't send them any of your Reels & Relics account or order information.
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — email orders@reelsandrelics.com and we'll take care of it, usually within a few days.
We extend the rights in US state privacy laws (including Minnesota's and California's) to everyone, regardless of where you live, and we'll never treat you differently for exercising them.
Our store isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
If we change this policy we'll post the update here with a new effective date.
